Self-Portraits, 1944-1996

In this entirely analogue series of large scale photographs, I inserted myself into film stills by utilizing matte paintings, half-tone photograms, and other in-camera optical effects. From a distance these images resolve into a cohesive whole, while up close they transform into abstract colors and patterns that were photographed simultaneously on different focal planes.

Each print is approximately 30” x 40”.
